METEOR From Deep Deep Outer Space

For the person that THINKS they have everything. This is a Meteor recovered from My front yard, aproximatly 30 miles north of Dallas Texas. This is a true peice of everything that is our universe. Made from gasses and debris from million miles away and millions of years ago. In fact it is older than the planet we are on. The Meteor belt that passes across Earth's path once only in a great while was in our path last summer. (I found it the morning of the first night of the Band of meteorites passing through Earth's path. We were pelted in this area for several nights but I am the only one that has reported recovering one.) This was recovered, still smoldering in a burnt spot in my lawn. Because this is such a unique peice of everything that is history, I am hoping that a major research orgination will contact me and we can get this into trained hands that may learn something from this truely once in a lifetime find. I have chose to offer this first to research and if that is not succesfull, to the highest bidder. In the photo you will see wet like, shinny spots on the Meteor. This is the Glassing of silica as it burned its way through Earths atmosphere. Please serious inquiries only. Just in the short year that I have owned this I have answered questions, displayed, and shipped this precious object to all parts of the planet for veiwing. It is not something I can research myslef nor can I keep up with the inquiries and time consumtion. I hope that this will find the right person that will either display or place into some research facility. Or perhaps you just want the most precious GEM to hit the planet, literally.

I believe the seller has been duped by an elaborate hoax by person/s unknown - Item appears to be torched sand/drymud/?. Seller has sent sample to UNM for analysis ( See FAQ - " DID YOU KNOW: FRESHLY FALLEN METEORITES ARE NOT HOT? ")

2 3/4" long METEORITE BALL 2" WIDE ROUGH

I wish I knew something about this meteorite but I don't, it weighs 10.6 oz, measures 2 3/4" long 2" wide. It was found in my back yard on 2 23 2002. I have no idea how it got there. I know it was not there a few days before I found it. I had my daughter take it to school to make sure it was a meteorite before I listed it.

Newly found By Novice Over 8 lb.AZ/Nev Meteor

Sorry but I am not a person who deals in this type of commodity. I just happned to find it and was suprised at the weight of the rock and decided to keep it and found out through investigation and the opinion of two colleage geologists that it was a meteorite. It is very magnetic and measures about six inches across and about 3 1/2" tall. I was told to have a piece sliced off for further study at UCLA but decided that I would try to sell it whole and leave that part of the study to the new owner. As I stated I have the opinion of two geogoligists, but it would have to be given a more detailed study to know for sure. I am hoping someone will know exactly what it is and from where it came from.

This is simply slag. Photos by Diane Cutsinger.

METEORITE

This is a very nice Heavy metal meteorite 369 grams. You can see the metal is in a crystallized pattern. This fell about Nov. 92 or 93 in North West NJ. I have more of these, I just have to go out in the back yard and find them. The story behind it is, I was lying in bed 12:30 AM looking out in window to the sky. In a split second a pin point of light came right at my face with a halo around it. It lit up the whole area and shook my 3 story house like a match box. Now I know how the people in Tunguska must have felt. I was out in the yard with a metal detector a year later and found one 3 times this big. I just tossed it back in the yard. I found this the other day and had a friend who deals with this type of thing and he told me what it was. Buyer pays actual shipping and ins.

Meteorite?

This may be a meteorite, I don't know. But one day I was beachcombing (California Coast) with my metal detector, and this rock set it off. Gave off a low iron reading. Go figure! I thought it might be a meteorite, but I am not sure, so bid accordingly. Also feels a little heavier than your normal rock. I did not take the time to weigh it at the post office, but if you need to know this info, I will go down there and have it weighed. Also it's about 3 1/2 inches across.
